About Us:

The Shropshire Blues Club was started by Maurice 'Moz' Arnold to promote regular blues gigs, showcase established bands and newcomers, and to raise money for local charities.

Moz sadly left us a few years ago, since then club has been run by BLUE MOON, the house band, and is now a well-established fixture on the local music scene, with regular donations to local causes.

We love the blues, but we also want to  provide you with a wider spectrum of roots music and Americana...some alt country? Why not? A bit of rockabilly? Absolutley! Some acapella gospel? Yes indeed!

Thank you all for supporting us - keep an eye on our social media and this website for more exciting gigs in 2024.

Recent headliners include:

Whiskey River, Chris Jagger, The Liam Ward Band, Paul Bridgewater's Electric Blues Rebellion, Honeyboy Hickling, Big Wolf Band, When Rivers Meet, Troy Redfern and Blue Moon themselves.

Gigs take place roughly every 2 months at the fabulous Ludlow Brewery, so the beer is as good as the music (or vice versa!). We promote 7 gigs a year in Ludlow, so come on down.

NEWCOMERS

We are also looking for new artists, if you would like to be hosted, send us stuff! We can feature you either as support for Blue Moon's main spots, or if you feel that you should be headlining, send us the evidence! We want to hear and see you, particularly female singers and instrumentalists...we need more input from all you talented women bluesers out there.
